What happens when you administer psilocybin to experienced Zen meditators? A neuroscientist and a Zen master carry out a double-blind experiment on a sphinxlike mountain in Switzerland. Their goal: to examine the nature of consciousness. This documentary takes us on a journey of mystical revelations, experienced through meditation and psilocybin by blending visual art, spiritual understanding, and scientific research.
Join us for the screening of this movie and a panel discussion to follow.
Tickets will be on sale soon!
Join us for our online AGM this Wednesday.
See what we've been up to this year, hard at work hosting events with experts to wisdom share and create community, advocating behind the scenes for the decriminalization of plant medicines for therapeutic and spiritual use. We'll also have some announcements around our future vision, projects, events and endeavours.
Come curious, bring questions!
Join us for our monthly Social!
A chance to gather in community with fellow psychonauts, facilitators, and curious minds- coming together to connect, learn and share.
This month, we’re excited to welcome Rich Tyo, psychedelic therapist and founder of the Kingston Psychedelic Society (Ontario), who will be speaking on Psychedelics & Safe Touch.
This talk will explore the nuanced role of touch in psychedelic spaces- covering somatic consent, power dynamics, enactments, and how to create truly safe, attuned environments. Rich will also share practical insights on when touch can be supportive… and when it may be harmful.
Doors open at 6:30pm.
The talk will begin shortly after 7pm and run for about an hour.
Afterward, we’ll continue to socialise- please feel free to bring a potluck item to share if you’re able.
This is a by-donation event, and all are welcome.
We’d love to see you there

In this discussion, he will discuss the use of psychedelic medicine (primarily psilocybin) in palliative care in Canada, the current legal landscape, access, the SAP program, therapeutic benefits, and implications. He will do this while providing a Jungian perspective on clients and society.
Come join us tonight at 7pm for our final social gathering of 2025!
We’ll be meeting at the Halifax Shambhala Centre (1084 Tower Road) at 7pm (upstairs!).
Drop by and say hi - we’d love to see you there!!!
Angela Amirault is a Psychedelic Therapist dedicated to guiding individuals through every phase of their healing and growth journey.
This hour-long presentation is designed to give you a deeper, practical understanding of the psychedelic integration process and answer the most pressing questions you may have.
We will explore:
Defining Integration: What is it, and why is it a critical part of the psychedelic journey?
The Process: What does it actually mean to integrate insights from profound experiences into daily life?
The Timeline: How long should I expect the integration process to take?
Practical Tools: How can I effectively support myself in moving these insights forward?
By the end of this conversation, you will be equipped with practical tools and skills to actively support and sustain your personal integration process long after the experience itself.
Free to the public
All are welcome
Come out and connect with like-minded folks at the Glitter Bean Cafe! This is a curated event that will support you deepening connections with people in the community who have a shared interest in psychedelics and meaningful connection.
The official event starts at 7 pm, but feel free to arrive at 6 pm to enjoy some light snacks and drinks (you are responsible for purchase) beforehand.
Starting at 7, you’ll be guided through playful icebreakers and into a series of conversations with strangers throughout the evening. We kindly ask that you arrive no later than 7:10 so we can begin on time and close the container for deep connection and conversation. There will be a short break in the middle for you to grab drinks from the bar, and then the official speed-friending will go until 9, leading into a free-flowing social for the rest of the evening.
Sarah Benoit and Amy Demone, board members of the Nova Scotia Psychedelic Society, will be the hosts for the night.

For thousands of years, psychedelics have been used as medicines to heal a variety of ailments. It is only in the last century that these substances have caught the attention of western medicine. Since the turn of the 21st century there has been a revival of the scientific research that started in the mid 1900s. In this presentation, we will explore the effects of psychedelics on psycho-spiritual and physical health, touching upon physiological mechanisms.
This event is free.

Come as you are, meet like-minded folks, and help us grow a culture of compassion and curiosity this fall.
Please bring light snacks and a donation if possible. See you there!
Limited to 12 people, this will be a therapist led group to explore past psychedelic experiences. Sometimes they might leave us confused, or re-entry into the 'real world' is difficult. It is also so helpful to be able to witness other people's experiences. So come and join us, integration is half the trip.
